About Little Piccolos
What makes us different?
Each 30 minute class is full of:
An entirely acoustic and musician led class, we never use CD backing
Engaging original songs to learn and sing together
Movement to music
High quality instruments
Colourful props and a considered sensory experience
Exciting puppets - including Scales the Dragon!
Little Piccolos classes are energetic and vibrant musicianship classes for under 5's. The older classes learn about the elements of music and even how to read musical notation while the younger classes learn to feel the beat in the music and enjoy the bond of singing with their parent or carer. All of our classes are taught using Kodàly approach, you can read a bit more about this on the 'What is Kodàly?' page.
The classes are entirely acoustic and we teach high quality music with a friendly class atmosphere - no CD backing tracks or plastic toys!
There's so much research showing how music education is cross-curricular and you can't start too soon - or too late! Have a look at our News page for more details.
