Did you know that your little one is already a natural musician? From the moment they are born, babies are predisposed to be social, and that includes music making. You may notice as they get older they naturally start clapping, swaying to a beat, or humming their own made-up tunes. This is not just for fun – music plays a powerful role in early childhood development and learning.
Through singing, movement and listening, music helps young children build important skills like:
language
memory
coordination andÂ
social confidence.Â
It supports emotional expression, boosts listening skills and encourages creativity – all while making learning joyful and playful.
That’s why we’re so excited about our upcoming piano workshop for under 5s. It’s a chance for children to experience live piano music up close, explore how sound and rhythm work, and get hands-on with the basics of music in a way that is perfectly pitched for their age and stage.
The workshop is inspired by the Kodály approach – a gentle, playful and proven method that uses the voice, movement and simple instruments to help young children develop musical understanding. Most importantly, it’s accessible to all children aged 3 months to 5 years, no matter their experience or ability.
So whether your child is already tapping out tunes or just loves to dance, this workshop is a wonderful opportunity to explore music together in a warm, welcoming space. We can’t wait to meet you and your little musician!
